Hello, World. My name is Naama.

I am a 25-year-old foodie living in Manhattan with my fiancé Jonathan.

Many people who made the switch to plant-based diets talk about discovering their love for cooking only after they have made the switch.

That was not the case for me. I have always loved food. Eating food, cooking food, buying food, looking at food, daydreaming about food, and basically anything food related.

My mom loves telling these stories about how my uncle would comment on my food obsession when I was at the tender age of 3. She also loves telling me how much fun she had feeding me, since as opposed to my sisters, I never ever refused a meal. You know how the old saying goes;

“Nothing hurts an Israeli Jewish mother more than her children refusing to eat her home-cooked meals.” Ok, I made that up. But it is true!

My older sister Talia, who is our family’s pride and joy (one of the reasons being, while I am sitting here blogging about tacos, she’s at school learning how to save lives) is actually the one who sparked my interest in plant-based living about 6 years ago. We were both living in Melbourne at the time when we decided to quit dairy (yes, before meat).

Thanks to her, I have watched every food documentary known to Netflix and have even turned some of my friends into actual vegan activists (shout out to my London friend and former colleague Alliyah & my London neighbor and friend Ben). I even managed to get my fiancè Jonathan on board by casually watching “What The Health” on a plane to Miami, a movie I had seen 3 times at that point, and he needed no convincing and hasn’t eaten any meat since that day. What an angel.

So now that you know my life story that you never asked for, I’ll share what you can expect to find on Naama Noms: delicious plant-based meals that taste like the real deal.

I love fooling meat-eaters and getting comments such as “I’d never guess this was vegan” or “I could eat this every day” or my recent favorite, “that was great, can I have 4 more please?” So if you like food that tastes good, feels good & looks good – I’m your girl.

I hope you enjoy making these recipes and wish you happy nomming.
