The Ultimate Vegan Cheeseboard

Cheeseboards excite me. They’re like a theme park of my favorite foods. I love sugar just like anyone else who was born with tastebuds, but – I do think I might like salty foods just as much. Ok, that was a lie, I like them even more.

I like to see the board as a blank canvas and have fun with designing it. I don’t follow any strict rules, I just do what I think looks pretty!

My vegan cheeseboard consists of:

  • Fruits that are in season
  • My favorite vegan cheeses
  • My favorite vegan delis (which I also cut and fold into different shapes)
  • My favorite dips
  • My favorite olives (my favorite way to serve olives is to sauté them with olive oil, garlic, orange peels, rosemary, and orange juice).
  • A few of my favorite nuts
  • My favorite crackers
  • My favorite fresh flowers and herbs for that extra pop of color

The Ultimate Vegan Cheeseboard

  • Servings: 4-6
  • Difficulty: easy
  • Print

Ingredients

  • your favorite crackers
  • your favorite fruits that are in season
  • olives
  • your favorite vegan cheeses (I like follow your heart and violife)
  • your favorite vegan deli (I like tofurkey)
  • your favorite nuts (I like cashews, pecans, hazelnuts, and walnuts)
  • your favorite dips (I like to make my own)
  • fresh flowers / edible flowers

Directions

  1. Start with choosing a board. It doesn’t matter what the board looks like because it will be covered with goodies.
  2. Place the crackers, cheese, and deli first in different patterns, you can cut the deli into shapes like hearts, or fold them into ribbons.
  3. Then add the fruit. I like to use fruit that is colorful and adds a pop like raspberries and passionfruit.
  4. Add the olives and dips, I like to place these in little bowls with cute spoons like these golden spoons I found on amazon.
  5. Add your nuts! The nuts will be perfect to fill out any “dead” space. You want to make sure there isn’t any space left.
  6. Finally, my favorite part – add some flowers! As you can probably tell, I LOVE flowers. Many people will say to only use edible flowers but I don’t think that’s crucial. I think most people are smart enough to distinguish between edible and non-edible flowers, however, if you are having kids over – maybe skip this step or only use edible flowers.
  7. Enjoy!

    Tips & Tricks:

  1. Add breadsticks! Who says you can only use crackers?
  2. Add “honey pot”, just put some agave or maple syrup in a jar with a honey spoon.
